Devin's fascination with the human experience began with the study of philosophy in San Francisco, a curiosity that soon evolved into a deep commitment to Buddhist practice. After years of engagement with the Spirit Rock community and a formal residency at the Upaya Zen Center in Santa Fe, Devin transitioned his contemplative roots into clinical action, pursuing graduate studies in mental health social work.
Devin has trained extensively in Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR, bringing a deep understanding of the mind-body connection to his work with clients. His background includes teaching mindfulness-based interventions for addiction and self-compassion at Meriter Hospital and UW Health. Currently, he serves as a meditation coach for the Center for Healthy Minds research and works in private practice.
At Red Beard Somatic Therapy, Devin offers Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems in a somatic coaching framework, drawing on his extensive contemplative and clinical background to support clients in developing greater body awareness, nervous system regulation, and capacity for self-regulation. His services through RBST are not psychotherapy or mental health treatment.
When he's not in session, Devin finds his balance through art, creativity, and the expansive beauty of the outdoors with friends and loved ones.
