Rose is a Colorado State Licensed Social Worker, trained in Somatic Experiencing and psychodynamic clinical practice. Rose’s goal is to provide clients with a safe and compassionate container to explore their psycho-somatic-emotional world, grow in self-compassion, and reconnect with their own innate healing capacity. Rose believes in honoring and prioritizing clients’ choice and agency and facilitates a space for exploration, curiosity, and empowerment. Rose supports clients in learning nervous system regulation in order to grow their capacity to hold life’s complexities. She introduces elements of attachment theory in order to support clients in identifying relational patterns. Rose incorporates a view of systemic, environmental, and intergenerational influences within our larger ecosystem, because we are never singularly “the cause” of our own suffering. She values cultural humility, collaboration, and advocacy as essential parts of both her inner and outer work.
Having worked in psychotherapy for the last couple years, Rose weaves body-based trauma and nervous system work (rooted in Somatic Experiencing) with psychodynamic, Jungian, and attachment disciplines, catering and molding the use of these different modalities to each client. She is trained as a level 1 birth doula and has experience in supporting women in processing birth trauma, individually and in women’s groups. Rose’s long-time experience with psychedelic therapies and training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy treatment has bolstered her offerings in psychedelic integration and preparation work. In addition to her background in individual counseling for adults and adolescents, Rose has gained experience in multiple treatment settings including intensive outpatient programs for folks with PTSD, mental health treatment and research for children and adolescents, and school social work.
Contrary to popular belief, therapy doesn’t always have to be “work,” “hard,” or “serious.” Of course, it can have these elements but our journey often can hold a quality of lightness and depth at the same time. It can have qualities of your choosing. The complex or the challenging can also be soft, balanced, and even joyful. What are you looking to grow more of in your life? Joy and aliveness? Balance and sustainability? Purpose? Wonder and awe? What do you want to bring into this exploration?
